Hello, my name is Heather McGuire. I graduated from Purdue North Central in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement. My professional background also includes Title 1 and Reading First experience. I am blessed to call South Central my home! Before I had my own classroom, I worked at South Central Elementary School as a kindergarten aide. Now, I enjoy having my own class and being able to share my love of reading and learning. My favorite part of teaching is seeing children 'light up' when something finally makes sense to them. I strive to be a positive role model for my students and to make sure they feel respected, cared for, and important. I believe that a smile can make all the difference in someone's day! When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I live in Knox with my husband and sons. I also enjoy traveling to new places, being outside, and shopping!
